Оснащение: Рождественские подарки, открытки, игрушки, гирлянды, снежинки, плакаты, 2 таблички на столы с названиями команд-участниц («Snowflakes» и «Snowmen»), CD с музыкой на утренник, шарики со словами.
Ход мероприятия I. Организационный момент. Выходят дети, у каждого карточки с буквами. C is for the Christ child lying in a manger. H is for the Holy One who saved us all from danger. R is to Remember Him who died that we may live. I is to Inspire us that we may always give. S is for Joyful Songs and sacred hymns that praise. T is to Thank the Lord for showing us the way. M is for the Miracles that bless us each day. A is for the Almighty who always puts us first. S is for the Shepherd who guides us on the Earth. Входит учитель в костюме зимы Teacher: Good afternoon, dear children and grown-ups, good afternoon, everybody! Welcome to our Merry Christmas Party. I congratulate you on this wonderful holiday and I wish you Merry Christmas! Today we are going to speak about Christmas and New Year, recite poems and sing songs about winter holidays. We will have a competition! Let’s begin! Teacher: It is very cold. The ground is covered with snow. There is ice on the river. When I come, all rivers and lakes are frozen. The sun rises later and sets earlier than in summer. Who am I? (Учитель в костюме зимы) Children: Winter! Teacher: Today we have 2 teams: their names are «Snowmen» and «Snowflakes». Before our competition let’s sing one of the most famous English songs “Jingle Bells” to feel the atmosphere of this wonderful holiday. Дети вместе поют песню. II. Основная часть. Teacher: Now it is time to start our competition. Our teams are ready with the poems and we shall listen to them with great pleasure. (Каждая из команд представляет по три стихотворения.) Children:
It is so beautiful and tall! Around it we dance and play Because it is a New Year Day!
I would like to buy a teddy bear. Window-Shopping is so bright. Here comes a holiday night. Mum goes shopping every day. Christmas comes. Hurray! Hurray!

Повторно вопросы остаются, но движения водящий показывает неверно, пытаясь сбить игроков с толку, их задача – слушать внимательно и повторять движения в соответствии с вопросами Teacher: Let’s look at the balloons and find Christmas words. (На доске развешаны шарики на каждом шарике слова и словосочетания. Нужно найти те, которые относятся к Рождеству.) Presents, decorations, orange, pudding, turkey, table, bag, star, sleigh, stocking, Christmas tree, sweet, toy, wish, card, cake, pen, book, Santa, ruler, reindeer, workbook, elf, angel, flower. Teacher: Oh! You look tired. Let’s have a rest and listen to songs. (Каждая команда подготавливает заранее песню)

Teacher: The next task is quiz. Please answer the questions. (Команды отвечают на вопросы по очереди. Если команда не может ответить, то вопрос переходит к соперникам.)
Подведение итогов So today we have revised and summarized much about Christmas in Great Britain. I think it was very interesting and useful for all of us. I wish you Merry Christmas.
