Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку "Рождество" для учащихся 5–6-х классов

Цель: повышать мотивацию учащихся к изучению предмета через знакомство с культурными традициями страны изучаемого языка.

Задачи:

Практические

• Обобщить и систематизировать знания, учащихся по теме «Рождественские традиции в англоязычных странах»
• Развить и закрепить орфографические навыки
• В игровой форме проверить умения, учащихся применять полученные знания английского языка (лексику по темам «Времена года» «Английские праздники», разговорные выражения, устойчивые формы, грамматические навыки)
• Укрепить межпредметные связи между английским языком и музыкой
• Создать ситуации успеха у всех участников мероприятия, что приведет в дальнейшем к более полному раскрытию личностных способностей учащихся

Образовательные

• Расширить кругозор учащихся по теме «Праздники в англоязычных странах»
• Познакомить учащихся с образцами английского фольклора (на материале английских рождественских песен и стихов)
• Развитие коммуникативных способностей учащихся, умения быстро и адекватно реагировать на предложенную речевую ситуацию

Развивающие

• Развитие положительной внутренней мотивации к изучению английского языка
• Выявление и развитие творческих способностей учащихся, воображения, фантазии
• Расширение и развитие общекультурного кругозора учащихся
• Развитие, творческого мышления; речевых способностей

Воспитательные

• Развитие умения учащихся работать в коллективе, в команде.
• Развитие умения адекватно вести себя в процессе межличностного общения
• Учить учащихся соблюдать этику межличностного общения

Оснащение: Рождественские подарки, открытки, игрушки, гирлянды, снежинки, плакаты, 2 таблички на столы с названиями команд-участниц («Snowflakes» и «Snowmen»), CD с музыкой на утренник, шарики со словами.

Ход мероприятия

I. Организационный момент. 

Выходят дети, у каждого карточки с буквами.

C is for the Christ child lying in a manger.

 S is for Joyful Songs and sacred hymns that praise.

T is to Thank the Lord for showing us the way.

 A is for the Almighty who always puts us first.

S is for the Shepherd who guides us on the Earth.

 Teacher: Good afternoon, dear children and grown-ups, good afternoon, everybody! Welcome to our Merry Christmas Party. I congratulate you on this wonderful holiday and I wish you Merry Christmas! Today we are going to speak about Christmas and New Year, recite poems and sing songs about winter holidays. We will have a competition! Let’s begin!

 Teacher: It is very cold. The ground is covered with snow. There is ice on the river. When I come, all rivers and lakes are frozen. The sun rises later and sets earlier than in summer. Who am I?

(Учитель в костюме зимы)

Children: Winter!

Teacher: Today we have 2 teams: their names are «Snowmen» and «Snowflakes».

Before our competition let’s sing one of the most famous English songs “Jingle Bells” to feel the atmosphere of this wonderful holiday.

II. Основная часть.

Teacher: Now it is time to start our competition. Our teams are ready with the poems and we shall listen to them with great pleasure.

(Каждая из команд представляет по три стихотворения.)

Children:

1. We have a fir-tree in the hall.

It is so beautiful and tall!

Around it we dance and play

Because it is a New Year Day!

2. Look! It’s Christmas everywhere!

I would like to buy a teddy bear.

Window-Shopping is so bright.

Here comes a holiday night.

Mum goes shopping every day.

Christmas comes. Hurray! Hurray!

3. Christmas Day, happy day!

We are glad and very gay

We can dance and sing and say:

“Welcome, welcome, Christmas Day!”

4. I love Christmas for many things

Trees, candles, angel wings,

Stars in the heavens

Snow covered hills.

5. It’s Christmas! Merry Christmas

Yes, it’s merry, merry Christmas!

It’s time for handing stockings,

It’s time for riding sleighs

It’s time for jolly greetings,

Snow and holly overeating

Oh, I love you, merry Christmas

You are the best holiday!

Teacher: Now I’d like you to guess riddles!

(Дети отгадывают загадки)

• They run upon the ground with upturned noses. (Skis)
• By day it is white, cold and not dry, It falls from the sky. (Snow)
• A little old woman with 12 children: some short, some long, some cold, some hot. What is it? (A year)
• It is decorated with lights, and toys, and tinsel, and it is in all the houses and in squares. ( fir- tree)
• What often falls but never hurt? (Snow)
• What goes without moving from its place? (A clock)
• What man cannot live inside the house? (Snowman)
• It is a traditional meal which people cook for Christmas party. (Pudding)

Teacher: Oh! It is time to play the game “Do like this”.

How do you live? – Like this! (показать большим пальцем в кулаке) (все просьбы сопровождаются соответствующими движениями)

How do you walk? – Like this!

How do you run? – Like this!

How do you sleep? – Like this!

How do you swim? – Like this!

How do you jump? – Like this!

How do you dance? – Like this!

How do you smile? – Like this!

How do you laugh? – Like this!

Повторно вопросы остаются, но движения водящий показывает неверно, пытаясь сбить игроков с толку, их задача – слушать внимательно и повторять движения в соответствии с вопросами

Teacher: Let’s look at the balloons and find Christmas words.

(На доске развешаны шарики на каждом шарике слова и словосочетания. Нужно найти те, которые относятся к Рождеству.)

Presents, decorations, orange, pudding, turkey, table, bag, star, sleigh, stocking, Christmas tree, sweet, toy, wish, card, cake, pen, book, Santa, ruler, reindeer, workbook, elf, angel, flower.

Teacher: Oh! You look tired. Let’s have a rest and listen to songs.
